Elizabeth McWhorter

Co-Founder & CEO

Elizabeth is a mission-driven leader who is changing the world by making information, skills, and technology work for people. As ThriveIEP’s CEO and co-founder, she is changing how parents advocate for their kids in the special education process, empowering them with a robust platform that provides generative AI-driven insights, information, and assistance to improve educational outcomes. When she's not improving the human experience, she's training for the Pan-Mass Challenge, chasing her kids and dog up and down mountains, and cooking with her husband.

Dr. Craig Horning, PhD

Co-Founder & COO

Dr. Craig N. Horning, Ph.D. is a visionary in the education field, with a robust background in teaching, consulting, program development and social entrepreneurship. As the founder of Beyond Kids Reading, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and Co-Founder of ThriveIEP, an AI-driven EdTech/FamTech startup, Dr. Horning is dedicated to enhancing transforming educational outcomes for children with diverse learning needs. His commitment to simplifying complex systems ensures that families receive the support they need efficiently and effectively.

Dr. Eric Falke

Head of Product

Dr. Eric Falke is a dedicated innovator in educational technology, transforming special education through AI-driven tools that empower students and educators. As the Director of the Applied Educational Neuroscience Initiative at MIT, he develops groundbreaking assessment tools like a computer-adaptive multilingual dyslexia screener, validated in collaboration with UCSF to enhance accessibility for all learners. A trusted advisor to EdTech startups and nonprofits, Eric uses his expertise to streamline educational workflows, ensuring every student has the support they need to thrive. Outside of work, Eric is an avid reader, passionate about the outdoors, and dedicated to advancing equitable learning opportunities across diverse communities. 

Colleen Sullivan, MS Ed

Colleen Sullivan is a compassionate and seasoned educator with over 27 years of experience in both elementary and special education. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Elementary Education from Mercy College and a Master’s degree from Long Island University in Special Education with a focus on Testing and Assessment, Colleen has worked in a range of diverse settings, including hospitals and traditional classrooms, to support students with varying learning needs. Colleen currently teaches in Westchester County, New York.
